Things to do while in Minneapolis
There are plenty of things to do in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. I'll list just a few here. If you have more suggestions, please email me.
- The Museum of Questionable Medical Devices - Dave wanted to know about this one. Unfortunately, it shut down in 2002. Most of the exhibits have been moved to the Science Museum.
- Science Museum of Minnesota
- The Minnesota State Fair - August 25th thru September 5th. Cheese curds, sno-cones, concerts, rides.
- Mall of America - The largest Mall in the world. It has a roller coaster inside.
- Eden Prarie Center - The Mall from Mallrats
- Southdale Center - The first indoor Mall in America. (OK, I promise no more malls!)
- River City Trolley - A trolley/tour service that runs through the downtown area, hitting all the major attractions. It's like $17.
- Walker Art Center - Newsweek called it "Possibly America's Best Contemporary Art Museum". How's that for wishy-washy? Newly remodeled in April
- Mystic Lake Casino - Midwest's Largest Casino. Great Buffet!
- Minneapolis Sculpture Garden - The largest urban sculpture park in the country.
- Valley Fair Amusement Park
- Grand Rounds National Scenic Byway - A 50 mile scenic path through Minneapolis and its Lakes. A beautiful place to walk, run, bike or just enjoy the views
- Minneapolis Tourism Site
